Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Operations Manager in the poultry industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the poultry division’s sales and operations functions. They will drive revenue growth. Ensuring operational efficiency is crucial. They must also maintain excellent customer relationships. You will lead both the sales team and operations staff to optimize processes, meet customer demands, and achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share in the poultry industry.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and suppliers.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare and manage sales forecasts to ensure targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Sales Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate the sales team to meet sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Operations Management:
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee day-to-day poultry operations, ensuring production processes are running smoothly and effectively.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements in production, logistics, and inventory management to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of poultry products, ensuring the right stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and proper supply chain management.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and certifications.
Financial Management:
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for both sales and operations, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review regular reports on sales performance, operational efficiency, and budget adherence for senior management.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Team Management: Lead and coordinate the activities of both the sales and operations teams to ensure effective collaboration and goal achievement.
- Training & Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to improve performance and career growth.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Poultry Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and operations management, preferably within the poultry industry or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of poultry production and sales processes.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Occasional travel may be required for customer visits or site inspections.
